Sitting has become so harmful to our bodies that it has been called the new smoking! It screws up your mobility, your spine alignment and even starts crushing your organs. Our bodies just weren’t designed to sit constantly!
Now you might think – it’s okay that I sit all day, I go to the gym and move around a butt load!
But don’t think you’re off the hook! Researchers found that even if you trained for an hour or 2 daily, you can’t undo the damage of sitting for long periods at a time. It just doesn’t work like that!
The only way to combat the damage of sitting is to not sit for such long stints. To take frequent breaks and get your body moving! Just a 5 minute break every 30 minutes could save you a whole host of problems.
So for this week, for every 30 minutes you sit, you must get up and do 15 hindu push-ups to get your body moving and combat the ills of the deadly office chair! But don’t wait until the end of the day to do those push-ups. Do them right at that 30 minute mark!
The easiest way to keep track is to set a 30 minute timer on your phone or computer. Every time it goes off, get down for those push-ups!
