FOR THE NEXT 7 DAYS: TRY A NEW VEGETABLE EVERY DAY!
Most people get stuck in a veggie rut. You have the three, maybe four, veggies that you always rely on. The ones that always get served with your lunches or dinners. Now, I’m not hatin’ on you for having a routine and I certainly want to give you praise for eating those greens.
But there are tons of vegetables out there that you probably haven’t tried. And those vegetables have different vitamins and minerals than your usual suspects.
In order to add some new flavor to your nutrition, and a new balance of nutrients, try one new vegetable each day.
And if you’re a parent, it’s a good way to get your youngsters interested in healthy food! Heck, you might even find a new family favorite!
And if you really hate your veggies, you can still take this challenge. Just look for ways to sneak them into foods or blend them in your morning shakes.
You have plenty of options to choose from and Google is full of recipes for even the strangest veggies – romanesco, anyone?
So this week, try a new vegetable each day. It’s only 7 days. How hard can it really be?
